CWRU Bulletin — EECS

Graduate Regulations Review

Peer Schools

  • US News & World Report data I obtained from their Web site in Fall 2003. (Excel, 72kB). This data ranks computer engineering and electrical engineering undergraduate and graduate programs. I also included data for overall school of engineering ranking, school of engineering data such as research funding and PhD students/faculty, and CS graduate program rankings.
  • This is peer data for schools selected by Mehregany as probably good models and peers for ECE. He wants to collect data for benchmark schools but the data on teaching contact hours has been difficult for us to get.

Graduate Regulations

  • Student Orientation Handbook (Word, 1 MB) This is the Student Handbook which Beth updates and hands out to incoming graduate students every fall. It contains a complete listing of all graduate regulations.
  • CE PhD Regulations (Word, 76 kB) These are the PhD CE regulations currently on the EECS Web site.

  • CSE Graduate regulations (Word, 60kB) These are the sections pertaining to graduate regulations taken from the CSE Bulletin document.
  • EECS MS Regulations (Word, 52 kB) In the Summer of 2002 I prepared this document which compares line-by-line the MS regulations between the four programs in the department. There are significant omissions from some of the programs. Also, some of the regulations are more clearly worded than others and/or may define best practices.
  • EECS PhD Regulations (Word, 108 kB) In the Summer of 2002 I prepared this document which compares line-by-line the PhD regulations between the four programs in the department. There are significant omissions from some of the programs. Also, some of the regulations are more clearly worded than others and/or may define best practices.
