CIFS.Net is a CIFS (Common Internet File System) written for .Net.
The .Net platform was a good fit for the CIFS project due to its uniform calss library that allows developers to use a common framework among any number of compatible languages. Other benefits are that classes written in one language can be used in, and even inherited in, another language, allowing the developer to use whichever language is the most suitable for a particular task and allowing it all to interoperate.
The NetBots project is an agent-oriented platform for the remote control of robotic manipulation tasks. More information is coming soon.
The .Net platform will help us with a Common Language Environment that will make it possible to run the middleware on hetereogenous environments, including desktops, laptops, and PDA's.
