Soldering Surface Mount Components. (PDF, 3.4MB) Many modern integrated circuits are only available as surface mount devices (SMD). This articles describes how you can hand solder SMD's to a PCB.

Reflow Soldering. (PDF, 500kB) If you can't hand solder this articles describes how to use a solder mask and a toaster oven to reflow solder components in your kitchen. Not recommended for the beginner.
