REU

Research Experience for Undergraduates

 

 

An REU position is currently available in the GiPSiNet project for the Summer and Fall 2005. The GiPSiNet project involves the design, implementation, and evaluation of a state-of-the-art virtual environment with networked visualization and haptics support. The successful applicant will work in cooperation with a team of faculty and graduate students.

 

The REU involves full-time work for 2½ months during the Summer and part-time work during the Fall semester. Pending approval of funding, REU support will include salary and, as needed, supplies and travel.

 

The REU position is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at Case and whose major is Computer Science. Applicants should be on track to complete their degree in May 2006. Extensions of the project are possible for the Spring 2006 under REU, Senior Project, Independent Study, SAGES Capstone, or Work Study. The successful applicant should have experience with C++ and object-oriented software development.
